The Final Week…

This is my final week providing my services for Blog Tech Guy.

It’s bittersweet as I am starting a fantastic new job for a company I admire greatly, but more about that in another post.

BTG was started in 2007 as a way to provide low-cost custom work for WordPress.org users who didn’t necessarily have a big budget or need a lot of work, but needed someone reliable. It was a one man band, and still is today.

There were only a couple of us doing this kind of work back then, and even though it’s now a crowded marketplace I’ve been fortunate enough to work off referrals only with no promotion or advertising needed.

I’ve helped over 500 clients/customers/friends in the six and a half years I’ve been going, and I will sorely miss working with them.

However the time to move on has come, but don’t worry I won’t leave you hanging!

Around five years ago I started partnering with Andrew Rondeau from We Build Your Blog (WBYB) on a few ventures. His business started a little after mine, in 2008, and WBYB provide WordPress services – websites, blogs, sales pages, membership sites, maintenance and backups, online coaching and much more.

My services are all moving to Andrew who has been a trusted business partner and is the only person I can hand-on-heart recommend for great service and expert knowledge in all aspects of building your WordPress site. You can read more about him here, and see the WordPress website services he has to offer.

I’ll still be on here, occasionally blogging and generally distracting you, but my services are now in the very capable hands of Andrew at We Build Your Blog.

Thanks to all my wonderful customers over the years, I will keep in touch with many of you I’m sure. Don’t be a stranger!

  1. I’m still here!

Not sure what happened – but I’ve not seen any emails to respond to. Perhaps I’ve missed them?

  2. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I must inform you that “The Income Blogging Guide is now closed.” This is a quote from http://www.incomebloggingguide.com/stepbystep/. The Income Blogging Blueprint is still available for free, and after you download it, there is still a series of weekly emails that is sent automatically. However, Andrew does not answer emails, and there is no longer any support available. My readers and I will sorely miss both you, Joel, and Andrew, as your advice has long been both expert and up-to-date.

If anyone knows what happened to Andrew, we would appreciate a reply.

  3. Hello Joel,
Thank you for your service. Good luck in your new job. I know you will do well. I still follow you on Facebook so I will keep updated on your status. Take care.

    Cheers,
    Rick Resch

  4. Well Joel…what can I say? Plus where do I start? I know…just start!

We’ve had many years of great partnership and you have been a great person to partner with! I shall miss our strategy sessions and frustration talks – you know, when we moaned about services from other companies!

Your life journey has taken a few great routes recently including having kids…and having them will give you many more different journeys…believe me!
And now you start a new one…

Of course, I know we will keep in touch and I am privileged that you have chosen me to help with your clients. I will do my best to keep up the great service.

    Speak soon.

    Andrew

    • Thanks Andrew, it has been great and hopefully we can work together again in the future! We can still have strategy sessions, and moans, happy to chat anytime you want.

You’re right about the new journey and the routes on that journey. I’m so glad I have such an awesome resource to recommend to my clients, they deserve the best!

  5. Thanks Joel, for the wonderful job that you have done helping us.
And congratulations on the new job!
The company will feel lucky to have you in their team.
On the other hand, I have already worked with Andrew and he is wonderful as well. Andrew is professional, knowledgable, quick, straight forward, super nice… So I would like to tell everyone that we are in great hands.
Sending my best wishes to you and Andrew!
    Elsa

  6. First, congratulations, Joel! I’ll miss you and your business, but I wish you all the success and professional satisfaction that’s absolutely possible. Working with you has been a pleasure. Best wishes for your continued success and happiness. Seeya on Facebook. :)

  7. Hey Joel,

All the best to you! I was introduced to you by Yaro Starak – was it in 2007 or 08? I’ve enjoyed your blog, your professionalism and your work over the years.

I’m sure that whomever it is you’re working with now is going to gain a lot from an association with you. Also, if you recommend Andrew Rondeau, I’m positive he’ll be a great resource.

Again, I wish you well down the road of life!

    • Thanks Mel, it’s been a long time! Definitely check out Andrew, he’s fantastic.

All the best to you too, let me know what you’re up to sometime :)
